I don't remember if I sent James from Elsie and Jack this track, or if he heard me perform it somewhere else, but he was really excited about it and the whole tribute sort of formed around it as a nucleus
I was super excited to be on the same comp as Warn Defever
This was recorded in the same little studio room at Third Hermitage Floor, Chicago and it has the same feel to it as a lot of tracks from that period

Habit has it that I tend to procrastinate . shows get booked, weeks pass, and the day before, I start practicing . 'Know', one of the only Nick Drake songs I could even remotely play, was so fun to play along with that I looped it on the SK-5 and made it the centerpiece of one of my hastily assembled sets

The intention of this tribute was to collect artists from all walks of the music industry and bring them together with the hope of creating one of the most diverse tribute discs imaginable. After hearing Mr. Anderson's [Drekka] live version of "Know" we realized that this could be done.
