about

I was asked by Flannelgraph to do an instrumental track for a holiday comp they were putting together . I immediately thought about the long subway ride from Boston Logan airport to my family homes to the south of Boston... the South Shore, as we call it back east . I think this track captures that experience and I am not the only one, I guess, as one reviewer writes:

"As someone with a long MBTA commute every day, I can relate to the hazy, cold feeling that this song evokes. The windows are frosty, your nose is running, and your hands are bright red. (Before long, you’re really hot because the heater doesn’t work right, you’re crammed in with fifty other commuters with unique interpretations of personal space, and the book you’ve been trying to read is in some dude’s hair. But I digress.)"
